What is the XRP Ledger?
A decentralized public blockchain. The network is open to everyone and kept running by a global community of engineers, server operators, users and businesses. XRP is its own currency.
Fast and cheap payments
Payments settle in about 3–5 seconds. The minimum fee is 10 drops (0.00001 XRP), and it is destroyed, not paid to anyone.
Wallets & self-custody
In a non-custodial wallet you hold the secret keys. Anyone with your secret or seed has full control, so never share it. Lose it and there is no recovery.
The built-in DEX & AMM
The XRP Ledger has had its own exchange since 2012, for trading tokens for XRP or other tokens. AMM pools hold two assets and swap them at a rate set by a formula.
RLUSD
Ripple USD is Ripple's US dollar stablecoin, backed 1:1 by cash, US Treasuries and cash equivalents. It is issued under NYDFS oversight and is available on the XRP Ledger.
